District organizing canvasses are events where we go talk to our neighbors in our DSA electeds’ districts, to figure out what issues are impacting people and how we can help.
From helping people sign up for unemployment pay or food stamps, to connecting tenants to local tenants unions, to talking with people about workplace issues and connecting them with organizers who can support them, we engage with people on a variety of issues through district organizing, depending on the local context.
In general, people have issues at work, and Union Power is about helping people organize to overcome those issues through collective action.
